SMITHFIELD—Dorothy Taylor Parker died Dec. 12, 2007 in her home after a lengthy illness.

She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church.

Mrs. Taylor had retired from the bacon department of Smithfield after 28 years of service.

Survivors include her husband, Vance Parker; three daughters, Dorothy M. Parker, Victory Croker and Priscilla P. Campbell; two sons, Mel Allen Parker and Warren Parker; two sisters, Mary B. Taylor and Mattie Taylor; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Little Zion Baptist Church.

Interment was to be held in Tynes Memorial Cemetery.
