WINDSOR—Cora Odey Carpenter, 84, of Five Forks Road, died Dec. 13, 2007, at home.

She was the daughter of the late Rosker and Lillian Odey.

Survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Bud Carpenter Jr.; three sisters, Daisy Mae Joyner, Marie Dacus and husband Jimmy, both of Suffolk, and Louise Diskason of Washington; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Howell and her special friend Dan Harrell of Suffolk; and one stepson, Randy Carpenter and wife Sharon of Norfolk.

A graveside service was to be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Newman’s Memorial Cemetery at Oakland Christian Church by the Rev. Mark L. Burns.

Harrell and Hill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
