What’s the best part of your day?
Right now it is getting home from work, getting all of my chores done, and then sitting in the den in front of the Christmas tree for a few minutes with Robert before bed
If you could select another profession, what would you do? Working with children in some capacity
Why do you choose to live in Franklin/Southampton/Isle of Wight County? I like being close to my family and I love the country. I think it is a great place to grow up and live.
If you had two weeks’ vacation and money were no object, how would you spend your time?
I would definitely go back to St. Lucia and maybe squeeze in a visit to Charlottesville as well.
Favorite food: My Dad’s pork tenderloin and sweet potatoes

Favorite color: I love all bright colors and I have an obsession with black and white.
What’s the best life lesson you’ve learned, and who taught you?
I have learned that having a close family and friends means more than anything else in this world and with that support you can overcome and accomplish many things.

What’s the best decision you’ve made in life?
The best decisions I have made were to go away to UVA to college, and to come back home and marry my high school sweetheart.

The Therapeutic Riding Clinic in Ivor
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know. I do not like being sad or angry, I am a very happy person.
What’s your hobby? I love to read, draw and do crafty things when I have the time.
If you could re-live one day of your life, which would it be and why?
My wedding day because it was the happiest, most perfect day of my life.
What gives you the blues? When other people are sad
What’s the most Southern thing you’ve ever done? I raised a pig for the Southampton County Fair.
What’s your best childhood memory? Playing for hours on end with my brother - barbies, dress up, ninja turtles, farm, you name it!

What frightens you most? Snakes and the dark
If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be and why? This is not extraordinary, but I would love to live on the Eastern Shore again because that is where I grew up and I have many fond memories of living there.
If you could pass or change one law, what would it be? I would like to pass a law that makes it illegal to be mean or rude.
What last brought tears to your eyes? Watching my wedding video for the first time a few nights ago
If you could invite three guests - living or dead, from anytime in history - to dinner, who would they be? Only one: My grandmother who passed away in 1990. There are so many things I would love to share with her and so many important people in my life I would love for her to meet.
What three objects would you take with you to a desert island? Robert, a radio, and a good book
What kind of music do you like, and who’s your favorite performer? I like a little bit of everything and I don’t really have one favorite performer.
Tell us about a good movie you’ve seen lately and why you liked it? We watched Charlie Brown’s Christmas the other night and you cannot watch it without feeling like a kid again and remembering Christmases passed.
What’s the last book you read? I have read so many wedding books and planners for the last year and I am excited to be able to sit down with a real book after I finally get settled in
To whom are you grateful and why? I am grateful to my parents and grandparents for everything they do for me every single day. I cannot imagine a life without them.
