N. Frank Winslow III

FRANKLIN— Nathan Frank “Frankie” or “Smurf” Winslow, III, 48, died December 6, 2007. He was born in Franklin, reared in Carrsville, and was a graduate of Windsor High School. He was a mechanic at Drake Tire Company.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Pond Winslow; his mother, Rhea W. Reynolds of Newsoms; a step-daughter, Wendy B. Walker of Franklin; a step-son, Henry B. “Hank” Bryant and wife, Kim, of Apex, NC; two sisters, Yvonne Wilkerson and husband, Mark, of Suffolk, Teresa Cobb and husband, Steve, of Windsor; and two brothers, Richard Winslow and wife, Barbara, of Suffolk, Donald Winslow of Newsoms; two nieces, Bailey and Shea; four nephews, Ryan, Hunter, Eric, and Nathan. Mr. Winslow was predeceased by his father, Nathan Frank Winslow, Jr.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles W. Alvis officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and suggest memorials be made to Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 439, Courtland, Va. 23837.
