Cecil L. Crocker Sr.

SMITHFIELD—Cecil Lee Crocker Sr., 75, died Dec. 2, 2007, after a brief illness.
Mr. Crocker was a native and lifelong resident of Isle of County, the son of the late Charles B. and Nettie Turner Crocker.
He sold life insurance for several companies and retired from the U.S. Postal Service, Smithfield.
He was a life member and past post commander of the VFW#8545 and the American Legion #49.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Yvonne Crocker; a sister, Tera Wyatt; and a brother, Raymond Crocker.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Norma Burton Crocker; his daughters, Patricia Edmundson and husband Joh, of Ashland and Wanda Pearson and husband Benjamin Franklin of Isle of Capri, Fla.; a son, Cecil Lee Crocker Jr.; three sisters, Odell Crocker Holleman, Ada Thompson and husband Andy and Nell Owens and husband Bernard “Sonny;” five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Life Celebration service will be conducted 1 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Donald R. Rhoton officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the VFW Post 8545, Smithfield, or to the American Legion Post 49, Smithfield
