CHESAPEAKE—Christopher Joseph “Joey” Eaton, 29, a native of Portsmouth, died Nov. 19, 2007.

Mr. Eaton was an avid sports fan and a 1996 graduate of Manor High School in Portsmouth.

Survivors include his father, Gerald E. Eaton of Portsmouth; mother, Linda Eaton Bailey and husband Roger of Chesapeake; a brother, Gerald E. Eaton Jr. of Chesapeake; a very special aunt, Marilyn Culbreth of Elizabeth City, N.C.; other aunts and uncles, Frances Baucom and husband Tony of Suffolk, Sandra Allen and husband Hershell of Texas, Brenda Cahoon and husband Freddie of Portsmouth, Albert Eaton and wife Debbie of Suffolk, Dorothy Jenson and husband Clayton of Suffolk, Hugh Williamson Jr. and wife Janet of Gordonsville and Colanna J. McClain of Franklin; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral was held Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Lee Brown.
