Jane A. Hill

WAVERLY—Jane Adkins Hill died Nov. 15, 2007, in Ruxton Healthcare of Stratford Hills, Richmond.

Mrs. Hill was a native of Southampton County and the daughter of the late Belfield and Fannie Rose Adkins.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Deacon Nathaniel Hill Sr., seven children and her siblings.

She was a faithful member of Millneck Baptist Church and its usher board until her health declined.

Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn H. Rivers of Chesapeake, Jane H. Brown (James) of Richmond; her sons, Joseph Hill Sr. (Melvena) of Richmond, Floyd and Donald Hill of Petersburg; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, great-nieces, nephew, family and friends.

Her homegoing service will be held today at 1 p.m. in Millneck Baptist Church, Capron.

Interment will be in Mars Hill Baptist Church cemetery, Capron.

The Rev. Sherin B. Flythe, pastor, will deliver the eulogy. The remains will rest at the church at 11:30 a.m.

Remains rest at the Tucker’s Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg.
