What#8217;s going on with the deer

To the Editor:

I do not know what kind of idiots the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is hiring. I would assume it is a bunch of deprived jackasses from the way your paper stated they treated the fawns they confiscated from George Watson on Sept. 27.

That kind of shock could have killed them. I don’t know why he had the chips, but if they won’t hurt dogs and cats they would not hurt deer. Someone must have a grudge against George and be a very vindictive person.

George is one of if not the best wildlife rehabilitator in the state of Virginia. You don’t get any help when you do this kind of work. Over the years he has spent so much time along with his former wife Anne and his children, also thousands of dollars. He bought goat milk from a farm in Virginia Beach or Chesapeake, and medication from the vet pins and cages don’t come cheap.

I know because I did the same work for a while when I was in Virginia. What kind of person is Lt. Ken Conger? A good officer would not have let those animals be treated like that it is clear none of them are lovers or should have the job they do. I realize because of the way I feel you may not publish my letter but at least you know how I feel.
