FRANKLIN—Marian McCain Magee, 78, widow of John J. Magee Jr., died Nov. 13, 2007.

Mrs. Magee was born in Charlotte N.C., a daughter of the late Fillmore Hugh and Mabel Lewis McCain.

She was a retired accountant for Franklin Equipment Co. and a member of Franklin Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and member of the choir.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy M. Finfrock and husband Rick of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; a son, Michael J. Magee of Franklin; a granddaughter, Lindsay Virginia Haas of Chesapeake Beach; her faithful aide Sylvia Hawkins; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, F. H. (Mac) McCain Jr.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Franklin Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Richard Childress and the Rev. Sharon James, officiating.

The burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the son’s residence, 201 Hunterdale Road and suggests memorials be made to the Children’s Home Society of Virginia, 4200 Fitzhugh Ave., Richmond, VA 23230, or Franklin Baptist Church Music Fund.
