CHARLESTON, S.C.—Amanda Jackson and Kenny Burr were married Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Summerall Chapel, The Citadel.

The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Marianne Jackson of Franklin.

The groom is the son of Kenny and Geri Burr of Bluffton, S.C.

The bride had her mother’s 32-year-old wedding dress remade and surprised her at the wedding.

The maid of honor was Lisa Cramer.

Bridesmaids were Branden Burr, sister-in-law of the groom, Erin Burr, sister of the groom, Whitney Deem and Alison Jackson, sister-in-law of the bride.

The best man was Kenny Burr Sr., father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Jeremy Burr, brother of the groom, Richard Peacock, James Hudson and Michael Sands.

Ring bearers were Jon Jackson and Jacob Jackson, nephews of the bride.

Ushers were Ben Jackson, brother of the bride and Matthew Sefick.

Sword detail were members of the South Carolina Citadel Corps of Cadets.

Arching of the Swords Ceremony followed the wedding. Eight cadets drew their swords and the bride and groom walked under the swords.

A reception followed at the Charleston Yacht Club.
