ASHLAND—Hope Wright Walls died Nov. 13, 2007, in her home.

Mrs. Walls was a native of Southampton County and the widow of William Wesley Walls.

During her youth, she was baptized at Pine Level Baptist Church, Capron. She then relocated to Philadelphia, Pa., where she became a member of Thankful Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Smith, and one brother, Abner Wright.

Survivors include three sisters, Tillie Fortner of Sunlake, Ariz., Juanita Blow of Capron and Daphne Lewis of Courtland; two brothers, Gordon Wright of Chesapeake and Cleveland Wright Jr. of Philadelphia; nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

A service of love will be held at noon Friday at Pine Level Baptist Church, Capron, where the Rev. Keith Rose is pastor-elect. Ellis Wright Jr. will be presiding.

On the day of service, her remains will be placed in the church for viewing at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
