FRANKLIN—William “Junie” Lawrence Jr., 64, of Pocahontas Avenue, died Nov. 8, 2007, while a patient in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lawrence was born April 27, 1943 to the late William Lawrence Sr. and Mary Alice Johnson.

He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Franklin. He attended school in Isle of Wight County and graduated from Georgie Tyler High School.

After 41 years of service, he retired from Northrop Grumman Newport News.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Maggie; two sons, William “Billie” Lawrence and wife Lori and Timothy “Timmy” Lawrence and wife Carnell; his beloved grandchildren, Bryce, Britney and LaMont.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1071 Carrsville Highway, Franklin.

On the day of service, his remains will be placed in the church for viewing by 10 a.m.

Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
