SUFFOLK—Gill Allen Jones III, 45, of the 200 block of Prospect Road, died Oct. 30, 2007, in a local hospital.

Born in Henderson, N.C., to the late Shirley Lorenzo and Gill Jones Jr., Mr. Jones was a construction worker.

Survivors include a son, Gill Allen Jones IV of Chesapeake; two sisters, Christine Wells of Ivor and Amy Ferrell of Chesapeake; two brothers, John Jones of Texas and Raymond Lorenzo of Chesapeake; and two grandmothers, Sally Aquino of Suffolk and Olive Jones of Henderson, N.C.

A memorial service was to be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, with the Rev. Steve Bingham officiating.
