VESUVIUS—William Preston Thornburgh, 64, died Nov. 1, 2007.

Mr. Thornburgh was born Aug. 18, 1943 in Monroe, La., a son of the late Preston Earl and Frances Eleanor Langley Thornburgh.

He was a member of Mount Horeb United Church and past member of Franklin Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy A. Thornburgh; two children, Robert P. Thornburgh of Hampton and Laurie A. Bland of Williamsburg; a sister, Yvonne Treska of Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tori Randall officiating. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mount Horeb United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buena, Vista, Va.
