Dennis H. Rollings Sr.

PRINCE GEORGE—Dennis Hylton Rollings Sr., 47, died Oct. 29, 2007 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond.

Mr. Rollings was born in Franklin and had been a long time resident of Prince George.

He was a member of the Carrsville Hunt Club, was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a truck driver for the Contractor Yard Lumber Co.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frances Hylton Rollings.

Survivors include his wife of one year, Jessica H. Rollings of Prince George; a daughter, Kayla Gibbs; a son, Dennis Hylton Rollings Jr. and wife Amanda, all

of Prince George; grandchildren, Caleb T. Russell, Summer Faith Rollings and Kendall Paige Rollings; his mother, Lois Galtress McCourt of Hopewell;

three sisters, Donna Griffin and husband Keith of Enon, Dianne Hranowskyj and husband Boris of Carson and Deborah Elpers and husband Kevin of Prince George; three nephews, Jeffery Dowdy Jr. of Alaska, Nicholas Hranowskyj of Carson and Josh Elpers of Prince George; two nieces, Jessica Griffin of Enon and Rhiannon Hranowskyj of Carson; and his best fishing and hunting partner, Pete Lucy Jr. of Prince George.

A memorial service will be held today at 7 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating.

Visitation will follow until 8:30 PM.

As he wished, his cremains will be taken back to the family farm in Southampton

County, where they will be interred on Saturday at 1 p.m.
