CHESTERFIELD—Curtis L. Davis, 73, died Oct. 27, 2007.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie W. Davis; his parents, Collis and Ethel Davis; and his sister, Thelma Cobb.

Survivors include his son, Harold Cain Jr.; two daughters,, Norma Crowder and husband Carroll and Diana Powers; two grandsons, Thomas Powers Jr. and wife, Lori and Russell S. Powers and wife Amy; three great-grandsons, Ryan, Daniel and Kevin Powers; one great-granddaughter, Madison Powers; his sister, Christine Grizzard; and his brother, Calvin Davis.

Mr. Davis attended Randolph-Macon College, served in the U.S. Army and retired from Dominion Virginia Power.

He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved bowling. He was a member of the Good News Men’s Bible Class at Central Baptist Church, where he had many special friends.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at Central Baptist Church. Interment followed in Dale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
