COLONIAL BEACH—Ronald David Redman, 68, died Oct. 21, 2007, in his home.

He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a former member of Denbigh Baptist Church in Newport News.

Mr. Redman was an engineer and worked at Newport News Shipbuilding, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, SUPSHIPS in Newport News, NAVSEA in Crystal City and was a program engineer for ALION Science and Technology.

He enjoyed fishing and was a car enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife, Jeri Redman of Colonial Beach; four children, David Redman of Isle of Wight, Mark Redman of Newport News, Paul Redman and his wife Lori of Gloucester and Amy Redman of Richmond; two stepchildren, Kristen Ballou and her husband David of Wake Forest, N.C., and Amy Limerick and her husband Russ of Stafford, Va.; his mother, Lena Redman of Newport News; two brothers, Douglas Redman and his wife Sue of Surry and Tom Redman and his wife Ann of Camden Point, Mo.; three grandchildren, Lillian, Walker and Elizabeth; and his former wife, Nancy Redman of Newport News.

He was predeceased by his father, Sherlock H. Redman.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today in Tabernacle Baptist Church, King George, with the Rev. Sherman Davis officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
