SUFFOLK—Margaret Simpson Hart, 94, died Oct. 22, 2007, in East Pavilion in Franklin.

Born in Hertford, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Jesse Franklin and Mary Elizabeth W. Simpson.

She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Suffolk and was formerly secretary to the Episcopal Bishop in California.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, F. Lee and Betty Stewart Hart III of Suffolk; grandson, Spencer Lee Hart IV of Suffolk; nephew, Bill Pearce of Georgia; nieces, Ann Simpson Turner and Linda Simpson, both of Suffolk.

Memorial services was conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory by the Rev. Robert J. Parks.
