Christopher B. Faison

WAVERLY—Christopher Barrett Faison, 18, died suddenly Monday night when his truck ran off the road near Homeville.

Mr. Faison is survived by his mom, Cindy; his sister, Shannon; his maternal grandparents, “Winky” and Betty Faison; his Aunt Beth and Uncle Steve, and their daughters, Taylor and Haley; and was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Nanny; all of Waverly; numerous extended family and friends; and a special “little brother”, Jamie.

He leaves behind his girlfriend, Ashleigh Wray, and a very special second family, Norman, Tracy, and Jarrod.

He was born on July 23, 1989 in Richmond.

He was a 2007 graduate of Tidewater Academy, Wakefield, where he leaves behind many special memories and a host of friends.

As a student at Tidewater Academy he enjoyed playing football and baseball.

He was employed by Everett Farms in Capron and he was an avid outdoorsman, especially loving hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

His mother says that “He had a boundless love for life and his world was his family, especially his beloved grandparents “Winky” and Betty, his friends, and his work.

Chris was blessed, and he had really hit his stride as a young man.”

A celebration of his life will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Purviance Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Wakefield, with the Rev. James M. Smith officiating.

Burial will be in the Waverly Cemetery, Waverly.

The family will receive friends at the residence in Waverly.
