HAMPTON—Mildred Dundlow Raiford, 75, died Oct. 16, 2007.

A native of Isle of Wight, she was a lifelong Hampton Roads resident.

Mrs. Raiford had worked at Shelton on the Bay for many years. She loved dancing, cooking and walking on the beach, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Raiford; her daughter, Janice Raiford Behrens; her parents, John and Essie Dundlow; three brothers, Cad, Willie and Henry Dundlow; and her sister, Hattie Mae Dundlow.

Survivors include her two sons, Larry Raiford and wife Penny of Smithfield and David Raiford and wife Linda of Hampton; four grandchildren, Christopher, Lindsey, Lorin and Tori; her sister, Lily Darden of Franklin; a special friend, Aubrey Handy; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Parklawn Memorial Park by Chaplain Donnie Dale.
