SMITHFIELD—Eleanor Small Midgette, 92, died Oct. 15, 2007, in Suffolk.

A native of Tyner, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Surry and Anna Elizabeth Dail Small and the wife of the late Arthur Maywood Midgette Sr.

Mrs. Midgett was raised in South Norfolk and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Virginia Beach.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Midgette Moyer and husband Len of Columbia Falls, Mont.; A son, Arthur M. Midgette Jr. and wife JoAnn of Smithfield; two granddaughters, Nicole Wheles and husband Trevor of Georgia and Tammy Day and husband Walter of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, with the Rev. Ernest Trueblood officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service.
