FRANKLIN—Lula Romelle Ricks, 53, of the 300 block of Pine Street died Oct. 9, 2007, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Ricks.

Miss Ricks retired from the Franklin City Public School after 24 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherita Ricks (Tim) of Franklin; mother, Jessie Ricks of Franklin; two sisters, Ruselle Ricks-Miller (Gregory) of Hyattsville, Md. and Rosalyn Edmonds (Tommy) of Washington, D.C.; one niece, Ebonie Ricks; two nephews, Thomas Edmonds and Joshua Ricks; and one uncle, Joseph Stephens.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight S. Riddick officiating.

Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
