MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Allison Brooke Storey of Murfreesboro and Daniel Lee Hollowell of Tyner, N.C., were married during an outdoor garden ceremony on June 23 at 5:30 p.m., at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lewis Storey. The Rev. Robbie Parker officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father and was given in marriage by her parents.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Lewis Storey of Murfreesboro, Nancy Parker and the late Raymond Parker of Boykins.

The bride wore a gown of imported white silk designed by Marisa.

The strapless bodice flowed into the skirt which was accented by pickups and a swip train. The waistline was adorned by a silk chocolate ribbon tied in a bow. The silk edged veil by Toni Federici completed the bride’s ensemble.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white stock, lisanthus, freesia, spray roses, hydrangeas, and green jade roses, wrapped with a moss green satin ribbon.

Jessica Lynn Storey, sister of the bride of Murfreesboro, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara Felts of Branchville, Amy Brinkley of Ahoskie, N.C., Anne Greene of Greenville, N.C., Abby Colson of Greenville, Rikki Leigh Wallace of Murfreesboro and Stephanie Conner of Murfreesboro.

Claire Revelle of Murfreesboro was an adorable junior bridesmaid.

Kerrington Lane of Rocky Hock, N.C., was the beautiful flower girl.

The bridesmaids and junior bridesmaid wore long apple green chiffon gowns designed by Jim Hjelm Occasions. The flower girl’s dress was white silk and designed by MonCheri.

The bridesmaids carried hand-tied bouquets of white and green stock, freesia, Eskimo roses, jade spray roses, and hydrangeas, wrapped in a chocolate satin ribbon.

The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hollowell of Tyner, chose his dad, John as his best man.

The groom is the grandson of Viola Hollowell and the late J.H. Hollowell of Tyner, and Shirley Cox of Rocky Hock and the late Thomas Russell of Hertford, N.C.

The groomsmen were Jeff Harrell of Greenville, Matthew Blumling of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Reed Felts of Branchville, Trey Overman of Tyner, John Hollowell of Tyner and Ryan Hollowell of Edenton, N.C.

John Henry Hollowell, nephew of the groom, served as a handsome junior groomsman.

Linda Felts, aunt of the bride of Branchville, served as mistress of ceremony.

Emily Vann served as program attendant. Patsy Evans, aunt of the bride served as reader during the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Vann, friends of the bride, greeted guests arriving to the wedding and reception.

Music during the ceremony was provided by Meredyth Cory and Elizabeth Shores, organist.

During the tented garden reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, uncles of the bride attended the bar, while beach music was provided by Sea-Cruz from Myrtle Beach, S.C. Guests enjoyed a buffet with a variety of meats and seafood, catered by Mary Etta Flowers.

Flowers and decorations set the mood for a rustic garden wedding, done by Clay Rawls of Added Touch.

Melanie Storey, aunt of the bride served a picture attendant.

The butter cream frosted, five layer wedding cake, adorned with fresh roses and hydrangeas was homemade by Susan Joyner.

Cake cutters were Margaret Murray and LouAnn Vann, both friends of the bride.

Gloria Hollowell and Beverly Morris, aunt and friend of the groom served the punch.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at John’s Seafood in Murfreesboro.

The bride is a 2006 graduated of East Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree. She is currently employed at RBC Centura in Greenville.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Chowan University with a business administration and marketing degree. He is currently the service manager of a furniture store in Greenville, N.C.

After a honeymoon to Puerto Rico and a southern Caribbean cruise, the couple will make their home in Winterville, N.C. with their little Yorkie, Chloe.

Parties

A bachelorette weekend was held in Myrtle Beach March 23-25 and was hosted by Anne Greene and Abby Colson. Bridesmaids and close friends attended.

A lingerie shower was held March 31 at the Hertford Academy, hosted by Jessie Storey, sister of the bride.

On April 14 an Around the House Shower was held at Stephanie Conner’s home, hosted by Stephanie Conner, Shirley Harrell, Rikki Leigh Wallace and Sarah Wallace.

A floating miscellaneous wedding shower was held at the Nicholson House Tea Parlor in Belvidere, N.C. on April 15.

It was hosted by Lawanda Hollowell, Beverly Morris, Vickie Blanchard, Lyn Winslow, Brenda Harrell, Joyce Gardner, Barbara Saunders, Donna Copeland, Ella Coates, Ann Hare and Louette Winslow.

A passion party was held April 20 at the home of Anne Greene, hosted by Abby Colson and Anne Greene.

On May 5 a bridal luncheon was given at Pam’s Tea Room in Franklin.

Hosting the luncheon was LouAnn Vann, Emily Vann and Erma Scott.

A cookout on the river was held at Ebo Clubhouse on May 19 hosted by Jay and Elicia Revelle, Jerry and Melanie Storey, Dennis and Katrine Spruill, Joe and Margaret Murray, Jim and Ginger Stradley and Jimmy and Charlene Eason.

A lawn and garden cookout and shower was given on June 9 by Chip, Linda, Sara and Reed Felts at their home.

On June 15 at bridesmaid dinner party was given by the bride at her home in Greenville.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents Mr. and Mrs. John Hollowell on June 22 at John’s Seafood in Murfreesboro.

A girls night out and pajama party was held June 22 after the rehearsal dinner. Bridesmaids attended.

A guys night out in Elizabeth City, N.C. was held on the eve of the wedding June 22. Groomsmen and friends attended.

A bridesmaid luncheon was held on the wedding day June 23 at the home Pansy Storey, hosted by Pansy Storey, Melanie Storey and Patsy Evans.
