Backing Jones for clerk

To the editor:

Nothing can replace 30 years of knowledge and experience doing perhaps one of the most important jobs in the county.

Keeping records that will survive until the end of time is something not to be taken lightly. It is of the utmost importance that they be kept accurate and in order for so many reasons.

Having been a realtor for 29 years I have spent many hours at the courthouse searching records to list and sell property. I know that even one small error can cause trouble when selling or buying property.

Even after the sale, if the error is not discovered by a paralegal when doing a title search problems can arise.

Sharon Jones is a hard working, very capable deputy clerk. Her dedication to her job and to the citizens of this county are above reproach. She often goes back to the courthouse sometimes on weekends to assure that all the work is completed and the records are updated for Monday morning.

Sharon, you have my one vote, and I wish I could give you more.
