SMITHFIELD—Robert Lewis Ashburn, 69, died Sept. 22, 2007.

Mr. Ashburn was the son of the late Elmer Lee Ashburn and Olive Virginia Watson Ashburn and was also predeceased by his wife, Helen Ashley Ashburn.

A memorial service will be held Sunday in Uzzell United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tommy Reynolds officiating.

Interment with military honors was held Thursday at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
