Marques J. Nance

NORFOLK—Marques J. Nance, 23, of the 3300 block of Dominion Avenue, died Sept. 11, 2007, in his home.

Born in Suffolk, he was baptized at an early age and fellowshipped with the Chapel Grove United Church of Christ.

Mr. Nance attended Isle of Wight County public schools and graduated from Lake Taylor High.

Survivors include his father, Glenn Nance of Franklin; his mother, Cecelia Holloway and stepfather Andrew Holloway of Norfolk; two uncles, Ramon Hines (Janette) of Riverdale, Ga., and Nathan Hines (Claudia) of Martinsville; stepbrothers, Andrew, Antoinne and Anthony Holloway of Lynchburg; one sister, Angela Fenner; a very special care manager, Shay Wimberly; and a host of great-aunts and -uncles, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon today in Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, 7366 W. Blackwater Road, Windsor.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
