FRANKLIN—Margaret Ann Bynum McCoy died Sept. 7, 2007. She was born to the late Ivory Joe Bynum and Drucilla Artis Bynum on May 28, 1929 in Southampton County.

After the death of her father, her mother moved with her family to Franklin and later married the late Leroy Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda D. Stovall; two sons, Charles Bynum (Earnstee) and Ivory Joe Bynum; three sisters, Marion S. Dishman (Cleother), Joyce S. Pope, Mildred S. Mabry (Algie); two brothers, Fred T. Smith and Christopher Smith (Patricia); eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one aunt, Helen Wilson of Baltimore, Md.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Emma Bell Jones and Bernice Smith and brothers, Herbert Lee Bynum and Leroy Bradford Smith.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Elvin Vaughan Chapel.
