Holland-Hlinovsky

WINDSOR—Melissa Raye Holland and Jon Thomas Hlinovsky were married July 14 at half past four in the afternoon at the bride’s childhood church and the church where her parents were wed, Colosse Baptist Church in Windsor.

The Rev. E. Timothy Web officiated the ceremony.

The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Ray Holland of Windsor, was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wesley Holland of Windsor and the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Surace.

She is a graduate of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and received a bachelor of arts in corporate communications from Elon University.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Jon Hlinovsky of Zuni.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Schwartz of

Tucson, Ariz., Ruth Hlinovsky of Little Marsh, Pa., and the late Dean H. Campbell and the late Vincent G. Hlinovsky.

He is a graduate of Windsor High School and pursued a career in the family business upon graduation.

Brooke Lambert of Suffolk and

Michelle Mastaler of Charlotte, N.C., served as maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Katherine Bucher of Norfolk, Whitney Butcher of Big Stone Gap, Kelly Fleck of Statesboro, N.C., Amanda Hlinovsky of Zuni, sister of the groom; and Catharine Mullen of Raleigh, N.C.

Alivia Garris of Zuni served as the flower girl.

The groom’s father served as the best man.

Groomsmen were James Fleming of Zuni, Tony Griffin of Windsor, brother of the bride; Michael Hlinovsky Jr. of Zuni, brother of the groom; Adam Jenkins of Windsor, Joshua Phelps of Zuni, and Drew Wiggins of Zuni. Noah Smith of Zuni served as the ring bearer.

Joyce Carter of Windsor and Kenda Council of Suffolk served as mistresses of ceremonies.

Following the ceremony a night of dining, dancing and celebration was held at the Cypress Cove Country Club in Franklin.

Guests danced the night away to the music of the Island Boy Band.

The rehearsal dinner was given in honor of the bride and groom by the groom’s parents at the Nansemond River Golf Club in Suffolk.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Paradise Island, Bahamas, and now reside in Windsor.
