SUFFOLK—Daniel Steven “Danny” Blake, 31, died Sept. 6, 2007, in his residence.

Survivors include his beloved son, Alex and Alex’s mother, Lisa, of Bradenton, Fla.; his parents, Bob and Beverly Blake of Suffolk; a brother, Rob Blake and wife Julie of Boykins; three nephews, Branche, Carter and Roger; his paternal grandfather, Robert C. Blake of Laurel, Del.; and various relatives in Washington, D.C., New York and California.

A memorial service to celebrate his life was held on his birthday, Sunday, in Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 16053 Carrollton Blvd., Hwy. 17, Carrollton, VA 23314 with Pastors Barry Reel and Jeremy Effler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, American Heart Association or American Kidney Foundation.
