MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Eleanor Bishop Tomlin,

81, of the 400 block of Carolina Drive died Sept. 3, 2007 in Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

Mrs. Tomlin was born in Bertie County, the daughter of the late Hugh and Nannie Bishop of Roxobel, N.C.

She was a homemaker and was known for her love of animals.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen T. Rose of Murfreesboro; and a grandson, Michael D. Rose, also of Murfreesboro.

She was predeceased by her husband, Williams E. Tomlin.

A private memorial service will be held for the family. Garrett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
