SUFFOLK—Margaret Hunter Spiers Gardner, 85, died Aug. 27, 2007.
She was born in Nansemond County the daughter of the late Lona Collins Spiers and Albert Freddie Spiers.
She was predeceased by her husband, Randolph Holland Gardner.
Mrs. Gardner was a member of Holland Baptist Church and the Holland Ladies Ruritan Club.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy G. and D. Kent Daughtrey of Suffolk; son and daughter-in-law, Freddie Randolph Gardner and Mitzi C. Gardner of Suffolk; grandchildren, Shana Renee Williams and husband Phillip Eric Williams, Melissa Claire Owens, Jessie D. Ricks and husband Tommy Ricks, Nathan Randolph Gardner and wife Sarah J. Gardner; great-grandchildren, Garrett McKenzie Pierce and Grace McKenna Pierce.
A funeral was held Thursday in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Pastor Jeff P. Crim officiating.
Burial followed in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence of Nancy and Kent Daughtrey, 3204 Holland Road, Suffolk VA 23434.
Contributions may be made to the Khedive Transportation Fund for the Shriner’s Hospital, 645 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
