WINDSOR—Elizabeth Ambrose Whitfield, 77, of the 24200 block of Lovers Lane, died Aug. 27, 2007.

She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Doris (Ashley) Ambrose and was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Thomas E. Whitfield and her brother, Roger Ambrose.

She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church and was owner of Whitfield Mobile Home Park in Windsor.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Joyce Riddick and husband Van of Hobbsville, N.C.; her son, Alan Harrell of Windsor; three brothers, Hubert Ambrose, James Wesley Ambrose and Gene Ambrose; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell & Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Windsor Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence, 24223 Lovers Lane, Windsor.
