NEWSOMS—Everett Porter Sr. of Thomaston Road died Aug. 18, 2007 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Stella Virginia Porter; tbree daughters; four sons; 15 grandchildren; one aunt; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Newsoms, with Pastor Jeremiah Cole delivering the message.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
