VIRGINIA BEACH—Barbara Ann Wise, 67, died Aug. 16, 2007 at her residence.

Mrs. Wise was born in Virginia Beach, the daughter of the late Walter and Lessie Ginn. Her husband, Shepard Elton Wise, died before her.

She was a member of Kings Grant Baptist Church, the Meat Cutters Union and the Hilltoppers of Virginia Beach. She worked for A&P Grocery Store as a meat cutter.

Survivors include her son, Shepard L. “Larry” Wise and his wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Shirley Moseley of Knotts Island, N.C., and Jackie Elliott of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Walter Ginn of Zuni and Tony Ginn of Virginia Beach; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Mindy Tarrant.

A funeral was conducted Sunday in Kings Grant Baptist Church, 873 Little Neck Road, Virginia Beach. The Rev. Skip Wallace officiated.

Burial

followed in Nimmo United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, was in charge of arrangements.
