After 2 1/2 months in the hospital, I recently returned home. I would like to thank everyone for their visits, cards, food, flowers, words of encouragement and, most importantly, their prayers.

My wife, Becky, and I would like to give a special thanks to Al and Beverly Briggs and Jimmy and Vicki O’Berry for organizing a barbecue pork dinner benefit for us. There are too many others to name who contributed their time, money and energy necessary for the fund-raiser.

More than $3,7000 was raised from the barbecue dinner and donations. We feel truly blessed to have so many friends who came forward in this time of need.
