VIRGINIA BEACH—Katherine Ann Benton, 75, died Aug. 5, 2007, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Benton was the daughter of the late Doctrine and Pasko Sawyer and was the wife of the late Claude David Benton.

She was a native of Virginia Beach and was a longtime member of Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her three children, Sally Anne Belcher and her husband Jerry Randall of Virginia Beach, Claude Eric Benton and his wife Gail of Franklin and Janet Eilene Fett and her husband Jeffrey of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren, Tom Benton, Michael Belcher, Jonathan Belcher, Warren Benton, Jennifer Gilleland, Kaytren Fett and Kyle Fett; and one great-grandchild, Tommy Benton Jr.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel.

A funeral will be held Thursday at Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
