Annie M. Daughtrey

FRANKLIN—Annie Mae Turner Daughtrey, 80, died July 25, 2007.

Born in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Arthur William and Minnie Rountree Turner.

Mrs. Daughtrey, a retired clerk/stenographer for the Virginia Department of Highways, was a former member of the Business and Professional Woman’s Club , and a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Mills P. “Pete” Daughtrey; her daughter, Robin D. Collins and husband, Kevin, of Berryville, Va.; her son, Mills Parker Daughtrey Jr. of Buckhorn and a granddaughter, Ashley Daughtrey. Mrs. Daughtrey was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Harrison.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Revs. James H. Hyatt Jr. and Lafayette Wilkins officiating.

Interment will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
