ALEXANDRIA—Nelle Dixon Rawles of Alexandria, died July 20, 2007, in Inova Alexandria Hospital.

Miss Rawles was born in Gates, N.C., the daughter of Ernest Lee Rawles and Aleph Langston Rawles.

When she was quite young the family moved to Holland. She attended Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, and later worked at the Federal Reserve Bank and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors in Washington, D.C.

She was an active member of the Pilot Club in the D.C. Metropolitan area and a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ, Holland.

She was predeceased in 1992 by her father, mother and sister, Sara Rawles Norfleet.

She is survived by a number of cousins.

A graveside service was held Tuesday in

Holland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by R.W. Baker Funeral Home, Suffolk.
