Diana T. Bradshaw

FRANKLIN—Diana Thomas Bradshaw, 81, died July 22, 2007.
Born in Paris, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Diana Sweeney Thomas. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and received her Master Degree in Education from Old Dominion University.
She was retired after 30 years with the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service, Virginia Tech, as an extension home economist. She was a member of the Virginia Home Economics Association and the Virginia Extension Home Economist Association and was awarded the National Home Economist, Florence Hall Award.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of High Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James Percy “J. P.” Bradshaw; her daughter, Diana B. Shockley and husband, Barry, of Virginia Beach; her son, James E. “Jeb” Bradshaw and wife, Wanda, of Courtland; five grandchildren, Michelle S. Burch and husband, Jeremy, Michael B. Shockley, Shane I. Bradshaw, Jaime L. Bradshaw, Brigitte B. Bradshaw; honorary grandchild, Laura P. Cruz and husband, Justin; one great-grandchild, Gabrielle Turner; one brother, Edward Thomas of Bowling Green, Ky; and
daughter-in law, Cathy.
Mrs. Bradshaw was predeceased by a son, Richard I. “Ricky” Bradshaw and two brothers, Francis and Bob L. Thomas.
A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 11 am at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Susan Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.
