CARRSVILLE—Richard Donovan, president of AAAble Masonry, has purchased the former Carrsville Fire Station property, located at 6261 Carrsville Highway.

The property, which was most recently been used by the Carrsville Athletic Association for storage purposes, will provide Donovan with better facilities for his masonry company.

He currently operates his business out of his home, and plans to renovate the newly acquired property for office, showroom and storage use.

Donovan plans include a new facade for the existing 1,800-square-foot building that will include fencing, outside storage, parking and improved landscape features.

&uot;I want to raise my small business to a new professional level,&uot; said Donovan. &uot;I look forward to my children being proud of the influence I hope to have on Carrsville’s identity and attractiveness. I am committed to establishing a structure that will set a design standard within the village.&uot;

Phillip Bradshaw, the member of the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors, said, &uot;We strive to have a strong relationship with the small businesses in our county, and we have enjoyed working with Mr. Donovan to help him realize his dream of owning a piece of property in his hometown for his masonry business. He has a great vision for the future of the town, and we hope his business continues to grow not only for his benefit, but for the benefit of the entire Carrsville community.&uot;
