ZUNI—Thelma Ward Hansford, 82, died July 4 2007, at her home in Crystal Lake, Ill.

A native of Ceredo Kenova, W.Va., she was the widow of Herbert C. Hansford.

Mrs. Hansford was a retired general manager with Colonial Williamsburg and was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church in Zuni.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Mueller and husband Wesley of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Karen Stewart and husband Allen of Ravenswood, W.Va.; two sisters, Fern Lykins of North Carolina and Janet Redford of Alabama; one brother, Ray Ward of South Carolina; two grandsons, Jonathan Shane Stewart and Jacob Allen Stewart; and two great-grandchildren, Alexia Stewart and Gavin Stewart.

A funeral was held Tuesday in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church by Pastor Allen Stewart. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Suffolk, handled arrangements.
