FRANKLIN—Horace “Peppy” Greene Jr. of Williams Street died July 4, 2007.

Mr. Greene was a native of Nansemond County.

Survivors include one son, Horace Copeland of Portsmouth; his mother, Donzella Rodgers Jordan of Windsor; stepfather, Morris Mitchell; his fiancee, Shirley Everett of Franklin; one sister, Brenda G. McClenny of Boykins; two stepsisters, Charlene Jordan of Newport News and Marquita Mitchell of Capron; one brother, Jerry L. Rodgers Sr. of Portsmouth; two stepbrothers, Michael Jordan of Portsmouth and Bennett Everett of Capron; grandmother, Jerlean Jordan; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

A celebration of life was held Monday in Apostolic Faith Church of God, 680 Oak St. with Bishop Fred Scott delivering the message. Burial was in Christian Home Church Cemetery.

Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, was in charge of arrangements.
