EMPORIA—James A. Faison, 77, died June 25, 2007.

Mr. Faison is survived by his wife Thelma W. Faison; two daughters, Diana Beale and husband Johnie of Walters, Sandra Seward and husband Ronnie of Emporia; one son, The Rev. Curtis Faison and wife Beth of Danville; five grandchildren, Jason Walters and wife, Christina , Joey Seward and fiance’ Shannon, Ashlee Faison, Brock Faison and Jennifer Beale; two great-grandchildren, Jami Leigh Walters and Seth Walters; two sisters, Pearl Pulley of Franklin and Rose Atkins of Moyock, N.C.; and one brother, Albert Faison of Franklin.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Faison; four brothers and two sisters. The funeral service, led by Pastor Jack Warner was held June 27 at Owen Funeral Home.

Interment followed at First Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Christian Church.
