Roy C. Hodge Sr.

WINDSOR—Roy Carson Hodge Sr.,72, of Lake Pointe Drive, died June 9, 2007, at his residence.
A native of Grundy, Va., he was the son of the late Hugh and Ida Price Hodge.
Mr. Hodge was a United States Army veteran, a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he was also an usher, a member of the William Glover Sunday school class and a member of the Magnolia Ruritan Club.
He had retired from the Newport News Shipyard with 43 years of service. He had been with the I.O.W. County for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marie Charles Hodge; his sons, Jimmy Hodge and Carson Hodge Jr. and wife Pat of Windsor; his adopted daughter, Zinnerias Hunt of Franklin; his grandchildren and spouses, Heather and Michael Blythe, Hollie and Stephen Bickley and Jacob Hodge of Windsor; his great-grandchildren, Tyler Bickley, Hannah Bickley and LeAnne Blythe; five brothers and three sisters, Marce Hodge of Milford, Ohio, Lonzo “Don” Hodge of Grundy, Dallas Hodge of Napoleon, Ohio, Russell Hodge of Fredericksburg, Lewis Hodge of Rosedale, Va., Helen Moore of Windsor, Phyllis Murphy of Blanchester, Ohio, and Ruth Eighmy of Lebanon, Va.
He will be sadly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
The funeral was held Tuesday in Liberty Baptist Church with Dr. David Blevins officiating. Entombment followed in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

at the residence, 20387 Lake Pointe Drive, Windsor.
Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, handled arrangements.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Building Fund of Liberty Baptist Church, 116 Romans Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
