Euel T. Moore

FRANKLIN—The Rev. Euel T. Moore died June 8, 2007 at his residence.

Born March 24, 1922, in Boswell, Okla., the Rev. Moore is survived by the love of his life for 59 years, Grace Waff Moore; two sisters, Margaret Timmons of Millerton, Okla., and Lynell Steward and husband Bill of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, the Rev. Burley O. Moore and wife Johnnie Lou of Idabell, Okla., and J.D. Moore and wife Lena of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law and friends.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, Addie Walls Moore and William P. Moore. The Rev. Moore was a World War II Navy veteran.

He was with the federal government for 39 years retiring from the U.S. Post Office and belonged to the American Legion. He retired as pastor from the Lancaster Assembly of God in Lancaster, Texas after 24 years.

He was a member of University Assembly of God Church in Waxahachie, Texas. He moved to Franklin due to his health and attended Bethel Assembly of God in Suffolk when health permitted.

A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Assembly of God, 938 Decatur St., Chesapeake, with the Rev. Earl R. Teeter and Pastor Todd Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to University Assembly of God Church, 221 Solon Road, Waxahachie, TX 75165, Bethel Assembly of God or the Salvation Army.
