Moms deserve their day in the spotlight

To the Editor:
If anyone were ever worthy of sale-priced diamond jewelry or a macaroni &uot;I love you,&uot; it would be my mom. With strength and poise she rules the roost, turning skinned knees into smiles and last night’s leftovers into a fabulous feast.
And being a mother is not a piece of cake, either. You almost need a doctorate to qualify!
Not only is she a traditional mother; she is a chauffeur, gourmet chef, nurse, shrink, crisis-negotiator, maid, teacher (of any subject) and a private investigator.
It is impossible to understand the stamina of a mother. You cannot measure a mother’s love, any more that you can count the mountains she would climb for her kids. It is just the way moms are wired.
This Mother’s Day, remember all the things your mom does for you, no matter how small and insignificant they may seem. They matter, and be thankful they do.
