To the Editor:

The Shiloh Baptist Church family of Boykins would like to extend sincere thanks to the entire Franklin/Southampton community for its support during the installation of the church’s 17th pastor.

Last Sunday at 3 p.m., the Rev. Curtis Mitchell was installed as Shiloh’s new pastor. Dr. Kim Brown of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Chesapeake delivered the installation message.

More than 600 people filled the auditorium of Southampton High School to celebrate with us and to help make this day a memorable one.

Therefore, we extend special thanks to all area churches, community leaders, citizens and friends. God bless you!
