Jeffrey A. Trout

SMITHFIELD—Jeffrey Allan Trout, 37, died unexpectedly at his home March 29, 2007.

Mr. Trout was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County. He graduated from Smithfield High School in 1987.

At the time of his death, he was general foreman with

W.M. Schlosser Construction Company and was working on the Surry County Courthouse Renovation.

He was also a member of Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a hard worker who was very artistic. He loved to hunt and was passionate about playing his guitar. He will be remembered most for his great love for family, his free-spirit and his smile that was contagious.

Survivors include his parents, Gary P. and Lorrie K. Trout of Smithfield; sister, Jennifer Goforth and husband Ed of Manassas, and their children, Rebecca, Katie and Libby; fiancee, Marian L. Kelly and her daughter Haileigh of Smithfield; maternal grandfather, Wesley Sykes of Norfolk and uncle Wayne N. Trout and wife Margo, all of Norfolk; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.

A life celebration service was conducted Monday in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Randy Green and Ronnie Bunch officiating. Burial followed in St. Luke’s Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church, 19290 Battery Park Road, Smithfield, VA 23430.
