Ethel M. Ferguson, 79, of Cheyenne died Sept. 24 at United Medical Center-West.

She was born July 30, 1927, in Cheyenne.

Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker.

She married William Wallace Ferguson in 1975 in Cheyenne.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Major of San Diego; a daughter, Linda Lou Cobia of Sumrall, Miss.; a brother, David Bussard of Cheyenne; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Ferguson; her parents, Samuel Jackson and Zelma (Goss) Bussard; three brothers; and one sister.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at Schrader Chapel with Pastor James E. Watson Sr. officiating.

Cremation is at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory.
